Portland - Crews will be performing an in-depth inspection of the Casco Bay Bridge, which spans the Fore River connecting Portland and South Portland, beginning on Tuesday, January 12th.

As part of the federally mandated inspection program, the Casco Bay Bridge will undergo an inspection on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday that may include up to three additional openings lasting no longer than five minutes per opening per day. These additional openings will occur between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. only. There will be no impact to marine traffic.

Motorists should be aware of the potential for the additional openings for this three day period.

It is anticipated all inspection work will be completed by the end of the day on Thursday, January 14th.

Traffic Snarled on Rt 202 in East Rochester as Car Collides with House.

Car collides with house on Rt 202 across from Dunkin Donuts in E. Rochester

We're hoping everyone's okay. What a mess!! The whole front of the house has shifted!
This happened right around 11:20 this morning and Rochester and Farmington Police were still on the scene, measuring and making their reports when I came back though at 1 pm.

The TRUTH about the May 1, 2015 Depot Road Accident.

I'm reading on the Command Central page about the accident on Depot Road last night, Friday, May 1st. I'm sure you KNOW that the TRUTH is not how it was reported on that page.
According to Central Dispatch in Sanford, this is how the timeline shows for official records.

7:58 pm: First tone, Car into telephone pole on Depot Road.

7:58 pm: Lebanon M5 responds (immediate response)

8:00 pm: 2nd tone, Car into telephone pole on Depot Road.

8:00 pm: Lebanon Basic 21 responds enroute to station. ( 2 minutes after first tone)

8:00 pm: Update given by Central Dispatch, caller reports 2 occupants are out of the vehicle and reporting no injury.

8:02 pm: Rescue 2 leaving station. (4 minutes after first tone)

8:06 pm: Rescue 2 on scene. (8 minutes after first tone)

8:09 pm: Engine 2 responding.

8:09 pm: CMP advises they are on scene.

8:18 pm: Engine 2 arrives on scene. (20 minutes after first tone and 9 minutes after they reported leaving the station)

This is the truth of the response times for the Depot Road accident on Friday night, May 1.
Rescue 2 (ambulance with EMT) was on scene only 8 minutes after the first tone was sounded.
It seems our Rescue group are right up on top of things!! GREAT job!!
I know the "other" page is back up and running and back to taking photos and reporting the partial truth. Apparently it WAS 20 (not 28) minutes for the FIRE apparatus to arrive. At this time I'm waiting to hear from someone on the Fire Department for clarification on these times.
