CALL for New GAME WARDENS!! Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is Taking Applications.

The Maine Warden Service is currently hiring!

Applications will be accepted until

April 15, 2016. 

 

 

During the month of February, the warden service will be holding several informational meetings around the state. These meetings will be an opportunity for candidates to meet with game wardens and to ask questions about the current hiring process and discuss what can be expected in a career as a Maine game warden.

 

These meetings are not mandatory, but attendance is encouraged.

February Fundraiser Planned for Purchase of Animal Resuscitation Kits for Lebanon Fire and EMS Vehicles.

We've identified our next Lebanon fundraiser!!!!

 

 

 

We've talked to Chief Daniel Meehan and Captain Natasha Kinney of the Lebanon Fire and EMS regarding Animal Rescue capabilities in Lebanon.

The question was, do they have the Animal Resuscitation Kits on board our Lebanon Ambulances or Fire Vehicles?

Timing is EVERYTHING.........

Chief Meehan tells us that Lebanon Fire and EMS are in the middle of putting together a Animal Rescue Course, and that his team is interested in learning more!!

Our pets are our family members too!!!

We're going to be taking orders over the next month for homemade chocolates and flowers for Valentines Day!!!

Obituaries: Timothy D. Chick

Timothy D. Chick, 57, of West Newfield, passed away at his home on Friday January 8, 2016.

He was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on December 19, 1958 a son of Richard and Patricia (Clark) Chick. He grew up in Kittery and attended local schools, graduating from Traip Academy in 1976.

Timothy enjoyed the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed boating and water skiing. When he was younger he was active in the Boy Scouts. He also had an eye for photography. Tim stood for what he believed in. He will be remembered as a kind and caring man and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard A. Chick, his sister, Katherine A. Chick.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Chick of West Newfield, one brother, John Chick and his wife, Kim of Lebanon, Maine, nephew, Justin Chick of Eliot, great nephew, Caden Chick of Eliot, aunt, Alice Burnsed of St. George, Georgia, cousin, Susan Turner and her husband, Willard, daughter Rebecca Ann Chick.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, January 11th from 5 to 7PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 4PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at Brooks Memorial Cemetery in Eliot.
