May 1, 1955 - November 19, 2015 Dover NH- Catherine 'Cathy' Joanne (James) Fernald 60, of Dover, died at home surrounded by love on November 19, 2015. Cathy was born May 1, 1955, the daughter of Napoleon James and Mildred (Hodgdon) Carter. Donald Carter was her loving step-father. Survived by her family; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Leigh and his wife, Holly of East Wakefield, NH and Christopher Leigh of Wells, Maine; 7 grandchildren, Kendal, Payton, Chad, Makenna, Logen, Ariah and Landin; 2 brothers and 6 sisters, Michael James of Lebanon Maine, Raymond James of Rochester, Janice Grant of Gonic, Margaret Marcou of Rollinsford, Linda Wallingford of Somersworth, Donna Budlong of Rochester, Charlene Paul of Dover and Nancy Smith of Dover; 21 nieces and nephews and many cousins. She has been reunited with her parents, a niece Malinda Paul and three nephews, Jesse Paul, Wayne Tuck Carter, Jr. and Dennis Tuck. She is deeply missed and will be lovingly remembered, always.
