Lebanon Resident, Noble High School Football Member, Receives Nominations to Attend USAF Academy.

Lebanon Maine Truth Seekers congratulates Lebanon Resident Cody Hart, who has received nominations from U.S. Senator Susan Collins, U. S. Senator Angus King, U. S Rep. Bruce Poloquin and U. S. Rep Chellie Pingree to attend the United States Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cody, is locally known for his activity on the Noble High School Knights Varsity Football team as #24 Running Back, Member of the Noble High School Track and Field Team, and Noble High School Honor Roll Student.
To be eligible to accept an offer of appointment to the Academy, you must be nominated by a legally authorized nominating entity. The process of securing a nomination is competitive and lengthy. Each Member of Congress is only allowed to have a maximum of five cadets attending the Academy at one time. Members of Congress want to nominate outstanding individuals from their states or districts who will have the best chance to qualify for appointment.
The Air Force Academy seeks out individuals who possess exceptional academic prowess and leadership potential. Because we offer one of the most prestigious and respected academic programs available, academic admissions standards are high.

Marybeth Stocking of Lebanon, Maine spends many weeknights in the no-frills 'Bernie Sanders for President' campaign offices, a phone pressed to her ear. Most of the time it’s probably not clear how her efforts fit into the big machine of the Sanders campaign. But last month, right after a shift of calling voters, she got a sure sign that someone thinks she’s making a difference.

“I actually was just finished phone calling and my phone rang, and it was the organizer from Dover saying, ‘Congratulations, you know you reached more people than any of our volunteers all month!’ ” she recalled. The campaign gave her tickets to a big fundraising dinner with Sanders.

These phone banks – which on the surface sound like a sea of loud, discordant voices – are actually a carefully monitored piece of a campaign recon operation, preparing for a massive push in the last weeks before the primary.

The names and numbers of voters they are contacting all come from a centralized voter information database, maintained and controlled by state parties, and the Democratic National Committee. If you've ever voted in a Democratic primary, you're probably on the list. Campaigns use it to decide who to call, which doors to knock on – in essence to find their supporters.

Video of Lebanon Man's Arrest Goes Viral. (from WGME 13)

Channel 13 News Crews in town this afternoon.

LEBANON (from WGME) -- Video of an arrest in Lebanon is going viral. A 21-year-old man, arrested for domestic violence, says he's a victim of police brutality. It happened Saturday in Lebanon.

The video has been viewed almost a million times on Facebook, but the opinions vary as to who's at fault.

A friend recorded 21-year-old Dennis Prescott being arrested by a state trooper on Saturday.  Police were called to Prescott's mother’s home by Prescott’s girlfriend after the pair reportedly got in a fight.

Prescott says he would have gotten into the trooper's cruiser without a problem, but the trooper refused to let him give his mother his wallet for bail money. That's when Prescott claims the trooper used excessive force to arrest him.

"He said maybe once or twice, ‘You're under arrest,’ and then continued to hit me, pulled out pepper spray; if he had done that right away I would have got down,” Prescott said.

Prescott is charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest. He says he plans to fight both charges in court.

Lebanon Hate Speech Reaches Small Rural Town in Northern Maine.

My Dear friends from Lebanon.
Sadly I have to report to you that hatred knows no boundaries.
While we have thought that we have many problems with fake pages, internet stalking and harassment of our Fire and EMS responders, it is with GREAT sadness that I advise you that this is getting so out of control, that the FAKE sites are reaching to our north to a lovely little town called Carmel, Maine.
You see, the very SAME 15 Anonymous Volunteers that are posting negatively and creating site after site after site to confuse Lebanon residents into believing they are reading REAL news, have also now created a FAKE news site in Carmel, Maine.

For those of you who do not know, Carmel is the hometown of our own Firefighter / EMT Windy Rudnicki. Despite what you have read on many FAKE Lebanon pages, Ms. Rudnicki's family is well respected in Carmel. Her Mom is a Selectwoman there and after she had the CHUTZPAH to post on one of the Lebanon FAKE news pages, SHE, (just like Deborah) was put into Facebook prison.

HOW SAD IS THIS, Lebanon??
How sad is this that a town FAR to our north, who should NEVER have been dragged into this MESS we have allowed ourselves into here in Lebanon, has to even HEAR of Lebanon Maine or our problems??

Might I suggest visiting the REAL Carmel Maine Community News (link below) and offering our support and expressing our embarrassment and sorrow that they should have to deal with a resident of OUR town, that WE have not yet figured out how to deal with properly.

Let the good people of Carmel, Maine know that we LOVE Firefighter / EMT Windy Rudnicki and that they have a LOT to be proud of in their native daughter.

Also a holler of support for Windy's Mom, Selectwoman Suzane Wilson Rudnicki might be in order.

He made the page to humiliate, slander and bully Select-person Rudnicki because she stuck up for her daughter who this man has been slandering, stalking and terrorizing her daughter and grandson.
He lies and spins the truth, he has been after her daughter for over a year now and because she will not bow to him, he will post lies, stalk her, take pictures of her and her son, slander her almost daily. It is a shame that this guy even has children.
Just take warning if you see hate pages start cropping up.

Miss Maine Kelsey Earley in Finalist Running for Miss America Quality of Life Award!

According to the mother of Miss Maine, Kelsey Earley, the Lebanon resident is in New York City, and will be returning to Atlantic City New Jersey as part of her trip to compete in the Miss America Contest and having the time of her life!!
Kelsey, who was crowned Miss Maine 2015, announced today that she is in the final running for the Quality of Life Award given by the Miss America Pageant.
The Quality of Life Award was the first special community service award offered to Miss America Pageants, with the first award given in 1989. No other contestant from Maine has ever been included in the finalists for this award.

Kelsey's community service project is entitled, "The Superhero in You". The project helps to create "superhero capes" which are presented to encourage and empower children who are overcoming health issues and literacy challenges.
Kelsey's Mom, Laura Earley, says that Miss Maine, Kelsey, has had lots of help from the Lebanon Girl Scout troops, and that soon, the Scouts will be gearing up to help create more of Kelsey's special Superhero capes! Laura also says that Kelsey is always looking for sewers interested in helping to create the capes, and would love to hear from anyone interested in volunteering!
Any of the 52 Miss America Pageant contestants are eligible for this scholarship award, with the college dollars going to the top 3 contestants. "Applicants must excel in their commitment to enhancing the quality of life of others through volunteerism and community service," says the Miss America media page. "Special attention is also given to depth of service, project creativity, and significant effects on the lives of others."

Residents Questions Answered: Where Was Lebanon's Kelsey Earley in the Miss USA Contest?

Many eyes were on Sunday evening's Miss USA Contest, waiting for sight of Lebanon resident, Kelsey Earley, Miss Maine.
However, many people were confused when they announced Miss Maine and Heather Elwell stepped out onto the stage.
Questions came in to Lebanon Maine Truth Seekers asking if Miss Earley were ill  or injured. Was Miss Elwell the runner up in the Miss Maine Contest??
The answer is:
Miss Kelsey Earley is fine.
Lebanon's Miss Maine, a student at UNE's Westbrook campus, studying Dental Hygeine, is ONE Miss Maine, but we actually have TWO.
While Kelsey is Miss Maine for the Miss America Pageant system, Miss Maine for the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant system is Heather Elwell, from West Bath, Maine, who studies Music and Economics in Florida.
I know, it's a bit confusing, but it's been explained to me this way:
Miss America is a scholarship program. The young women you see in this pageant are competing as a national symbol of beauty, poise, charity and education. The Miss America Pageant will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September of 2015.
Miss USA/Miss Universe is a completely different pageant system which was launched by the Catalina Swimsuit Company as a means to promote their fashions, but offers their winners scholarship opportunities as well as the chance to represent the United States in the Miss Universe Contest in Shanghai, China . It was the Miss USA Pageant that was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday evening July 12th, 2015, and is owned by business mogul, Donald Trump.

Reports from Massachusetts Say Lebanon Maine Resident Caught Purchasing Heroin with Twin Infant Boys In Car Seats.

WGME 13 News reporting on a Lebanon, Maine man being caught purchasing heroin with his twin sons strapped in the back seat of his vehicle.
Inspection of Hollenbeck's personal Facebook page states that he lives in Rochester, NH and that he is from North Berwick, Maine.
Photos of the twins were available on the Facebook page, but the Lebanon Truth Seekers will not publish photos of children without the permission of their parents.

LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) -- Police have arrested a man they say drove from Maine to Massachusetts to buy heroin with his 2-year-old twins in his car.

The Eagle-Tribune reports that Jeremiah Hollenbeck, of Lebanon, Maine, was held on bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday to charges including possession of heroin and child endangerment.

Authorities say the 30-year-old Hollenbeck drove to Lawrence on Tuesday. A witness reported what appeared to be a drug transaction to police. Officers saw Hollenbeck meet briefly with a woman before returning to his car.

Police say they stopped Hollenbeck's car and found 10 grams of heroin he had purchased from the woman.

His twins were strapped into their car seats in the back. Two other adults were also arrested.

Police notified child welfare officials in Massachusetts and Maine.

Senator Susan Collins welcomed Miss Maine America 2015, Kelsey Earley of Lebanon, Maine to Washington, D.C. this afternoon.
Through her platform issue, “Be a Superhero,” Kelsey makes superhero capes for children who are fighting illness or living with disabilities. She has hand-sewn more than 100 capes and donated them to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland.

SANFORD - A Lebanon man turned himself into Sanford Police earlier this week in connection with an eluding police charge in South Berwick.
Jonathan Robert Spulick, 23, of 23 Lower Cross Road, turned himself in at the Sanford Police Station around 9:15 on Tuesday after learning a warrant for his arrest had been issued out of York County Superior Court.
Spulick was transported to York County jail for booking and released on bail.
Eluding is a Class C offense punishable by up to five years in state prison.
