Another Successful American Red Cross Blood Drive at Lebanon Fire and EMS, and A Visit From Hometown Royalty!!

Lebanon Fire and EMS Crew Enjoyed a Visit from Miss Maine Kelsey Earley
Rear: Lt. TJ Gagnon and Boo
Center: EMS Captain EMT-A Natasha Kinney, Fire and EMS Support Cindy Harmon,
FF/ EMT Windy Rudnicki and Miss Maine Kelsey Earley
Front: Firefighter Lt. Bill Stancewicz, EMT-A Sean Newbry, and EMT-A Mike Bayer

Today's Blood Drive at the Lebanon Fire and EMS Station 1 was nothing short of awesome!!
So many of our local people stopped in to say hello, donate blood, donate toys for "Toys for Lebanon Kids", or just sit down and have a bite to eat and enjoy one another's company!!

The station was alive with chatter and laughter, good food, good friendship and lots of smiles!!
A big Thank You to the crew of the American Red Cross Blood Mobile that came and collected about 20 single donations and 4 double red blood cell donations. The staff was so friendly, fun and nice!! We were so proud to be able to invite them in to share our table with us!!

We'd also like to thank Lebanon's Animal Control Officer Mary Kinney for coming by for a bite to eat, a nice conversation, and lots of warm hugs for everyone!!

Lebanon Maine Truth Seekers arrived early for the event with a variety of soups and chili, fresh bread and all the fixin's feeding everyone and asking for a donation toward Lebanon's 2 EMTs who are working through college. All of our friends and neighbors were so very generous!!

Miss Maine arrived at 4 pm and was such a large boost to this event!! As beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!! We are so blessed to not only have her representing our State, but our Town of Lebanon as well!! Firefighter / EMT Windy Rudnicki tried to talk Ms. Earley into trying on a set of Firefighter gear, but I think the boots alone weighed more than our beautiful Miss Maine, and we weren't sure that she could fit the fire helmet on over her beautiful crown!! We rescued her by calling her into the kitchen!! Lt. Stancewicz gave Kelsey a demonstration of how the Jaws of Life Extraction Equipment worked and then we all sat down for some smiles and laughter as Kelsey told us all about the fun had and honor she felt in representing Maine in the
2015 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Someone's in the kitchen with Deborah Wilson and Cindy Harmon!!
It was an honor to share the kitchen with Miss Maine Kelsey Earley.

Between diners, blood donors, and folks asking for take out, the better part of our meal offerings were gone, Cindy and Deborah put a few leftover containers in the freezer for hungry Fire and EMS members, and sent the rest on over for Chief Meehan to share with his on duty Rochester Firehouse brothers. We missed you Chief!!

ANOTHER GREAT DAY in LEBANON, MAINE!!

A tip of the hat in thanks to our friends, neighbors and visitors who came to dine, donate blood, bring toys for the "Toys for Lebanon Kids" drive, and for all the great memories added to our hearts today!! A note of thanks as well to 2 donors and 1 diner from neighboring New Hampshire who arrived with lots of hugs and friendship!!
