So I got home late last night to no internet and no ability to call out on the home phone. We have tv. It's been like this for three days. I called Metrocast and they say they are experiencing connection issues in Lebanon. Three days is unacceptable for people particularly the elderly not to have a home phone. Please let me know if you're out and for how long.

QUESTION: Why DID it take Lebanon Engine 2, NINE Minutes to Arrive at the Depot Road Accident on 5/1/15?

After reporting the times of the Depot Road Accident response on the evening of May 1st, many people have been concerned that if Engine 2 was on the radio saying they were responding at 8:09 pm, how could they have possibly taken 9 minutes to arrive on the scene at 8:18 pm??
The accident WAS right down the street on Depot Road, RIGHT?
While the "other" pages would have you believe our guys were goofing around, taking their time, and not taking the accident or traffic safety seriously, BUT when the TRUTH comes out, the facts of the "time warp" of Engine 2 are completely understandable.
You see, the accident was on Depot Road. Lebanon Rescue 2 had arrived within only 8 minute from the first tone.
So there was Rescue 2, (our ambulance), and the accident. But WHO was on the OTHER side of the accident??
WHY ENGINE 2 of course!!
Engine 2 responded they were leaving the Upper Cross Road station at 8:09 pm. Only 11 minutes after the first tone.
However, the "Incident Commander" on the scene, requested that Engine 2 make the trip down to the other end of Upper Cross Road, travel up Center Road, the length of Heath Road, and then come onto the accident scene from the OTHER side, effectively giving us emergency personnel on BOTH sides of the accident.
Because lines were down across Depot Road, and there was a telephone pole that had to be replaced, it would have been dangerous at that hour of the night to leave one end of Depot Road without apparatus blocking the street to motorists.
So, now you know the whole story.
Is 9 minutes from leaving the station at 8:09 pm to arriving on scene at 8:18 pm STILL too long of a time frame??

Sheep Herding Field Trials to be Held at NH Farm Museum Saturday May 16, 2015.

 Come watch the top Border Collies in New England vie for prizes as they herd flocks of sheep through a course in the Plummer pasture and enjoy a spring day on the farm, located on Route 125 in Milton, NH.
 The dog and handler teams must maneuver the sheep through several obstacles in a limited amount of time. Handlers will take turns explaining what is happening on the fields and will be available to answer questions about the breed and training of these amazing dogs. 
Visitors to the Farm Museum can also view spinning demonstrations, explore the barns filled with antique farm equipment, visit with the farm animals and walk the trails through the woods. 
 New England Border Collie Rescue will be on site to educate people about the breed.
Sheep Herding Field Trials will begin at 10:30AM and run until approximately 2:00PM. 
 Make sure to bring your own chair but leave your dog at home. 
Admission to the New Hampshire Farm Museum is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Members are Free.
