Noble High School UKnights Humanitarian Club Hosts 5K Walk/Run.


Noble High School’s Humanitarian Club, "UKnights", will be hosting a Walk/Run 5k, on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
True to their Humanitarian concerns, the club will donate all proceeds from this event to their chosen charity,  "Guiding Eyes for the Blind".
Guiding Eyes for the Blind is an organization who raises and trains puppies with a purpose, puppies are given, free of charge, to people who are blind or sight impaired.
Pre-registration is $15 by calling the school at (207) 676-2234 or by e mail at msad60-info@msad60.org 
You may also register for $25 the day of the race.
Registration for children 12 and under is only $5, anytime.
The first 20 paid registrants get a free T-shirt!
There will also be a Raffle, Snacks, and...........a Puppy Kissing Booth!!!!

Guiding Eyes for the Blind is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) agency that depends on the support of individuals, corporations, foundations, and civic organizations such as Lions Clubs to fulfill its mission. They receive no government funding, and provide their renowned Guiding Eyes dogs, plus training and lifetime support, to our blind and visually impaired students at NO COST to them. It costs approximately $45,000 to prepare our students and dogs to become a Guiding Eyes team.
Guiding Eyes also provides specially trained dogs to families that have children with autism through its Heeling Autism program.  This program is also provided at NO COST to the families who are chosen to receive service dogs
Guiding Eyes operates two campuses the first, their Yorktown Heights Headquarters in Yorktown, NY, and their second, The Patterson Canine Development Center in Patterson, NY.
Through their website, www.guidingeyes.org, you have the opportunity to Adopt a puppy who has not passed the rigorous program training, Apply for guide dog services for yourself or a loved one, Apply to become a puppy raiser or foster parents for a stud or brood dog, or make a donation ot any one of their programs.
